Caerphilly (Wales) — May 18, 1909 (2300)
Mr. Lethbridge was walking along a road near the mountains when he saw on the grass a large tubelike machine. Aboard were two men wearing furs and talking excitedly in a language the witness could not understand. The grass was found depressed at the site after the object had flown off. (198; Anatomy 21)
