In the Vacheresse Forest, reliable persons reported seeing a luminous sphere land at the edge of the forest and become dark. The next morn- ing, investigation disclosed that an area 4 or 5 m in diameter had no leaves, while the ground elsewhere was covered with them. The earth seemed to have been dug up. (Personal)
