Deputy-sheriff A. H. Perkins, C. F. Bell, and a dozen other witnesses saw six bell- shaped objects moving by successive leaps. One came close to a patrol car, the men inside felt that their arms and legs “went dead” and that their clothes were burning them. (Evidence 64)
