Three witnesses, among them Dr. C. da Costa, decided to sleep in their car when the engine stalled and could not be started again. Then a very large, blue, silvery object appeared and came to ground level with a swinging motion. It was shaped like a sphere surrounded by a flat ring. When they tried to approach it, the object maneu- vered in a strange “aerial dance.” (Lor. I 143)
