Mount Airy (North Carolina) — August 20, 1965 (0300)
Mrs. T. E. Schumaker was awakened by a loud humming sound and found she could not speak or move for a while. When she finally reached her window, she saw a vertical, cigar- shaped, luminous object. It moved right and left. then back, etc. Ultimately it disappeared behind some trees, The next morning a circle of crushed grass. 4 m in diameter, was found in the yard. (FSR 66,2)
