Horseshoe Lagoon, near Tully (Australia) — January 19, 1966 (0900)
George Pedley, 27, was driving his tractor when he heard a high-pitched sound and saw a strange gray-blue craft, 8 m in diameter, 3 m high, rise from the lagoon 25 m away. It was spinning like a top, rose to 20 m, and flew to the southwest on a fast, oblique course. Flat- ened reeds were found in several places. (FSR 66, 2: Magonia)
