Ricky Banyard, 14, saw a strange object in the sky and followed it with a friend, Glenn Coates, through binoculars. It hovered near a cemetery, making a hushed whistling sound and il- luminating the ground with a vertical beam of light. The object left suddenly with a roar similar to that of a jet, and a series of “bangs.” Stones were found calcined at the site. (178)
